Your Visit to East Flora

Our story

More and more clients are traveling from outside Charlottesville to receive care at East Flora.

Some come from Richmond, Virginia Beach, Northern Virginia, Maryland, and beyond. Recently, I've even welcomed clients visiting from Florida.

If you're making the journey, my hope is that your experience begins before you arrive at the studio.

Consider giving yourself a little extra time.

Arrive slowly.

Take a walk.

Enjoy a nourishing meal.

Allow the day to unfold at a gentler pace than usual.

The treatment itself is only one part of the experience.

Below you'll find a few favorite places for tea, lunch, a walk, or an overnight stay should you wish to make a day or even a weekend of your visit.

For Lunch After Your Session

Ivy Provisions

One of my favorite recommendations after a session. Fresh sandwiches, salads, and grain bowls with plenty of outdoor seating. A lovely place to sit outside and ease back into the day.

Botanical Fare

Seasonal meals with a focus on fresh ingredients and nourishing options. Ideal if you're looking for something light and colorful.

MarieBette

A favorite for pastries, coffee, and a slower morning. Best enjoyed with nowhere to rush off to afterward.

For Tea, Coffee & Quiet Moments

Shenandoah Joe

A Charlottesville staple and a comfortable place to sit with a journal or a book.

New Dominion Bookshop

A beloved independent bookstore downtown. One of my favorite places to wander slowly.

For a Walk

Rivanna Trail

A beautiful way to reconnect with your body after a session. Parts of the trail feel surprisingly removed from the city.

Ragged Mountain Reservoir

Quiet water, wooded trails, and plenty of space to breathe.

Whether you're local or visiting from out of town, East Flora offers personalized bodywork, craniosacral therapy, abdominal therapy, Reiki, and seasonal ritual care designed to support rest, regulation, and reconnection.
